Buttock sculpture
Buttocks are fascinating. Who wouldn't want sculpted buttocks worthy of being displayed and admired in the Louvre ? The desire to enhance one's buttocks is a common wish for both women and men.
The buttocks convey sensuality. But they also convey youth and vitality.
The glutes have different characteristics in men and women. This is very important to avoid unwanted results.

In women, the most important characteristics conveyed by the buttocks are those of sensuality and fertility. Our gaze travels down the back, observing a concavity at the junction between the lower back and the buttocks. This inward curvature is called lumbar lordosis and is crucial for the impression of projection (volume) of the buttocks. Our gaze also travels down another concavity or inward curve that corresponds to the waist before reaching the hip, which defines the lateral part of the buttocks. These two inward curves are followed by two convexities or outward curves that give the buttocks their rounded character. The greatest projection of the buttocks is located at the level of the pubis, the bone found when we palpate the mons pubis. The buttocks end at the crease that marks the separation from the leg. The characteristic of this crease is that the shorter and shallower it is, the greater the transmission of youth and vitality. An important characteristic for a natural buttock aesthetic is that the leg diameter should be similar to that of the buttocks at the junction of the two. Subsequently, the leg's diameter will gradually decrease.

In men, the most important characteristic conveyed is strength and vigor. Their buttocks are shaped differently than women's. This is why personalized surgery is important to avoid the common result of a woman's buttocks in men. In men, we have the same inward curve in the lower back, followed by an outward curve. The most important difference is the absence of an inward curve at the waist and an outward curve at the hips. This difference culminates in a more rectangular buttock in men compared to the roundness we usually see in women. Another less noticeable difference is that male buttocks have a depression or dimple on the lateral side of the buttock, while women have a fuller buttock with a roundness at that same level. In men, the leg may have a slightly wider diameter than the buttock.

Contrary to popular belief that exercising only the glutes enhances their appearance, the gluteus maximus muscle, which is the one we often want to increase in size, doesn't grow significantly with exercise. Its width is approximately 2-3 cm, and with exercise, we can generally achieve a width of 4-5 cm. This is why we frequently hear about models and even bodybuilders who, despite considerable effort, don't achieve the desired results. The biggest factors influencing gluteal projection are lumbar lordosis and hip angle. However, these are congenital factors that we cannot change. So how can we enhance the buttocks? We perform liposuction to sculpt and enhance the contour of the buttocks: better defining the waist and the shape of the buttocks. Then, to improve projection, silicone implants are used. These implants are different from those used in cleavage design surgery because they are firmer and there are no reported cases of patients who have developed capsular contracture or cancer.

Buttock augmentation (BBL) is a surgical procedure performed under deep sedation administered by an anesthesiologist. It is an outpatient procedure, meaning you return home the same day. You can gradually resume your daily activities over approximately two weeks. The most common complication, occurring in up to 5% of cases, is prolonged scarring (due to the incisions being located between the buttocks, a moist and not entirely clean area).
The price range starts at $5000 USD (this includes pre- and post-procedure consultations, operating room use and consumables during the procedure, surgical and anesthetic team fees, and medications during recovery) and will be determined by the treatment plan suggested by your plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon. As we know, not all dresses fit all bodies. At Kintsugi, we don't aim for generic results: we think like artists, plan like architects, and execute like engineers. Just like with a dress, the result of your treatment is what people will see when they meet you. It's an investment in yourself.
Feel good about looking better!
