Chest sculpture
For several millennia, the male chest has been enhanced and appreciated throughout civilizations, denoting power, strength, and masculinity.
The chest is primarily defined by a muscle called the pectoralis major. It covers the rib cage and is wide, occupying half of the chest and extending below the clavicles to the abdomen. It is thickest in the upper part, toward the clavicles, and thinnest in the lower part, toward the abdomen, ending abruptly below the areola.
The chest is a place of strength and masculinity: we can see this in gorillas and in the animal world in general, noting how they express their power by flaunting and inflating their chests. But it's also a place of safety for women, who find protection in the chest during a hug or find calm in leaning against the chest.
For many different reasons, the male chest may not develop in the usual way, presenting fat deposits or abnormal involution of the mammary gland. At conception, human beings begin with a "female" blueprint; however, the male chromosome, the "Y" chromosome, determines characteristic male development from conception. Sometimes, due to various factors, the expression of the "Y" chromosome deviates from its expected path, resulting in abnormal development that can be observed as the presence of a vestigial mammary gland or vestigial nipples. Other factors that can alter this development include diet, the use of certain medications, or a pre-existing medical condition.
In the sculpture of the thorax, the harmony of the male thorax is restored, with greater volume at the upper pole and less volume at the lower. Furthermore, its definition is re-established, separating it from the serratus anterior muscle laterally, the sternum medially, and the ribs and abdomen inferiorly.
In the following case, we observe a 28-year-old athletic young man who, despite weight training, has not been able to improve the definition of his chest. A chest sculpting procedure was performed, focusing on the lower pole, which presented a shadow beneath the areola due to increased volume in this area. This issue was corrected.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you return home the same day. It is generally performed under deep sedation monitored by an anesthesiologist and lasts approximately three hours. The risks are low, and recovery is relatively quick, generally requiring a week's absence from daily activities. Pain is generally mild, and scarring is imperceptible.
The price range starts at $4000 USD (this includes pre- and post-procedure consultations, operating room use and consumables during the procedure, surgical and anesthetic team fees, and medications during recovery) and will be determined by the treatment plan suggested by your plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon. As we know, not all dresses fit all bodies. At Kintsugi, we don't aim for generic results: we think like artists, plan like architects, and execute like engineers. Just like with a dress, the result of your treatment is what people will see when they meet you. It's an investment in yourself.
Feel good about looking better!
