Lips are essential to facial beauty and, along with the eyes, are the ones that receive the most attention from the people we interact with.
The fascination lips have held over time is completely understandable. At the same time, it's fascinating to see the power that such a simple act as enhancing lips with lip color has had. Let's delve a little deeper into that responsibility. The first thing we must understand are the characteristics that make lips beautiful. If we don't understand this, we could be seriously mistaken. Lips are composed of an upper lip, which includes the skin below the base of the nose to the mouth opening. We generally refer to only the reddish portion that corresponds to the mucous membrane of the lip as lips; however, the area of skin between the red lip and the base of the nose is also part of the upper lip. Let's see in these images how the beauty of the lips is diminished by having a long distance between the base of the nose and the red lip. Similarly, a lack of definition in the philtrum columns is not flattering to the lips.

Another aesthetic characteristic of the lips is the clear demarcation of what is called the "white roll." The white roll is located between the red lip and the skin lip that runs from the base of the nose to the red lip. This white roll corresponds to this luminosity that lies just above the red lip and defines it all around. As we can clearly see in the following photograph.

The most frequent complications, as mentioned, are distortions of the lips. Another less frequent complication is migration of the product to other nearby areas. Both complications depend on the technique and experience of the provider. The treatment lasts approximately six months.
