This is a topic of great importance and current relevance to people's social well-being. In a hyper-communicative world where people are exposed to quick and superficial judgment from society, ear design can help address the problem of bullying. Ears, like other parts of our body, can vary in shape from person to person.

In this blog, we will focus solely on the most common alteration, which is nothing more than "ear overgrowth," resulting in larger ears. The ear is this structure that flanks our face and has a beautiful three-dimensional shape, as if we were viewing valleys and riverbeds from the sky. The ear finishes its growth and development between the ages of six and seven. When we have prominent ears, also called protruding ears, it makes us look different. This change, in which the ear stands out from the face and has a slightly different shape, attracts our attention. Unfortunately, there are people who use this unwanted attention as a means to cause harm.

In the following example of a handsome 12-year-old boy, we observe in his pre-procedure frontal photograph how his ears protrude from his face and are therefore no longer as discreet as they normally are. In his post-procedure rear photograph, we see no indication that surgery had been performed. Finally, in the side photograph, we observe a better definition of the ear. The goal is to restore the face's natural appearance without anything drawing attention. In this way, we don't focus on a single point but rather appreciate the person's overall beauty.
